PARD’s New Pantera Mini Thermal Scopes Target Night Wild Boar Hunters

Night wild boar hunting increasingly demands equipment that is precise, light and reliable. PARD has responded with the new Pantera Mini range, a line of compact thermal riflescopes designed to bring features usually associated with higher-end optics into the middle segment of the market.

The series arrives with a clear focus on portability, thermal performance and value, while keeping the kind of practical features hunters look for in demanding field conditions.

Two compact models built for hard use

The new line includes two models: the Pantera 384-25 Mini LRF and the Pantera 384-35 Mini LRF. Both have been developed to offer a strong balance between performance, ergonomics and price.

Each scope weighs just 500 grams with the battery included. Both models are also designed for tough hunting conditions, with IP67 certification and recoil resistance of up to 6,000 joules, a figure higher than the recoil generated by a .375 H&H.

One of the standout features of this new generation is the fully integrated laser rangefinder, built into the scope turret. The system removes the need for external modules or bulky additions, keeping the scope’s profile clean and balanced while allowing distance measurement out to 1,200 metres.

High-sensitivity thermal sensor

At the core of both devices is a 384 × 288 VOx thermal sensor with a 12 μm pixel pitch and NETD thermal sensitivity of ≤15 mK. According to PARD, that level of sensitivity helps detect very small temperature differences and produce detailed images even in humidity, fog or low thermal contrast caused by heat — common challenges during night wild boar hunts.

The Pantera 384-25 Mini LRF is aimed at hunters who want a wider field of view for short- and medium-range situations. Its 25 mm lens and 2.4x optical magnification make it suited to hides in covered ground or areas with dense vegetation, where fast detection and tracking are important.

The Pantera 384-35 Mini LRF is designed to prioritise range and target identification at longer distances. With a 35 mm lens and 3.4x optical magnification, it is intended for hunters working over larger open areas or needing more detail before taking a shot.

Features usually found higher up the market

Both models include a 1920 × 1080 Full HD OLED display, integrated ballistic calculator, recoil-activated video recording, Picture-in-Picture function, automatic Hot Track tracking, WiFi and Micro SD card storage.

With the Pantera Mini series, PARD is positioning the range as a highly competitive option in the mid-range thermal optics market, combining strong image quality, a compact body and an integrated rangefinder design.

The new scopes are already available through gun shops and specialist retailers.
